Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion

Background

On August 4, 2020, the Riverside County Board of Supervisors unanimously adopted Resolution No. 2020-179 and declared racism and inequity a public health crisis. As such, the County set a goal to identify and implement solutions to create governmental awareness and increase equity, diversity, and public health. Subsequently, RCP assigned the Justice System Change Initiative (J-SCI) to lead efforts in applying an equity lens to internal policies and practices specific to our clientele and staff. Furthermore, RCP is moving forward with organization initiatives to address implicit bias and promote diversity among all staff.
