Employee EAO Survey

In Spring 2022, a department-wide survey was distributed to RCP staff to gather feedback on their understanding of Equity, Access, & Opportunity (EAO) and the department's EAO efforts. The survey aimed to evaluate key areas, including Personal Experience and Perspective, EAO Culture and Environment, Inclusion, Career Development and Training, and Policies and Procedures.

To measure progress, a follow-up survey was conducted department-wide in Summer 2024. This secondary survey aimed to assess changes in staff understanding and engagement with EAO initiatives.

The comparative analysis of the two survey years revealed positive progress in Probation's EAO efforts and provided valuable staff feedback on areas of success and opportunities for improvement. This feedback will guide Probation’s ongoing efforts to refine its EAO strategies and foster a more inclusive and supportive workplace environment.

We Are RCP

As part of RCP’s effort to respond to BOS Resolution 2020-179, the J-SCI team sent out a departmentwide email in March 2022 asking for volunteers who would like to participate in efforts to address Equity, Access, and Opportunity.  A short video campaign was produced to illustrate to the community just who we are as a department and the various roles we fill in our day-to-day lives.

Initially, 39 (5%) individuals came forward to participate in the video campaign, We Are RCP!  An additional 41 individuals volunteered on the day of filming making it a total of 80 (11%) individuals who participated in the We Are RCP video. All individuals were then given a short survey to categorize themselves with other ways in which they identify.
